Eek!!...I love Christmas!

It's funny how things change. When I was a kid, the time from Thanksgiving until Christmas seemed like an eternity. Now it flies way too fast! Years ago, I never would have thought we would have a fake tree and would not even dream of putting it up until at least the first weekend in December...maybe the second.  Now, I am itching to get started before Thanksgiving. I did some decorating before Thanksgiving this year, but waited until this past weekend for the tree.  We have a mix of ornaments we have collected over the past few years, some from my college roommates, a few from when I was a kid, and a few I still need to make.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  Ours was great!  I had fried turkey for the first time and can honestly say it was the best turkey I have ever had.  Now...off to sing Christmas carols!  :)

Happy Monday!

I love your tree! I may use ribbon this year as garland too. I normally put our tree up at Thanksgiving but we traveled last weekend so I am not sure when I am going to get to it!

Beautiful tree and love your post!

Just discovered a fabulous ornament making idea at Michael's...will be posting about it soon! Basically you fill glass bulb ornaments with acrylic paint and they come out looking like hand blown gems!

Fun project for kids AND adults.

I love your tree, and am impressed by your quick turnaround from Thanksgiving to Christmas!

I was the same way as you when I was younger. What a fake tree?!?! and up right after Thanksgiving?!?! Now at the latest we wait until the Saturday following Turkey day. Your tree is beautiful!

I really love your tree! It looks like your dog does too! :o) We always had a real tree growing up too. My husband always had a fake one and convinced me fake was the way to go because then I could take the money we would spend on a fresh tree each year on something fun! Can't argue with that logic. LOL!
