Clearing your dresser...

My Mom denies this, but I could swear that she once got in an argument with my sister and cleared off the top of my sister's dresser with her arm and everything came crashing down to the floor.  I remember thinking it was hilarious, but my sister did not.  I don't know if my sister remembers this ever happening, so hopefully she will chime in because if she doesn't remember it, then I am surely losing my mind...perhaps it was a dream.

Here are a few dressers that sure would make a sad crash if everything came tumbling down to the floor:

Mom and Kat, I want your thoughts!!  Did I dream this or did it really happen?  I think I remember a Garfield bank on that dresser too...it shattered.

I need to stop looking at your blog. It makes me want to redecorate my whole house.

Ha ha! A few things on my mind:
1. I agree with the comment above. :o)

2. I love your stories and how you form them into posts.

3. My mom once ripped the bar thing in my closet off so all of my clothes fell to the floor, because she was angry that I wouldn't pick up the pile of clothes on the floor. I was so angry at the time, but now it makes me laugh. We bring it up to each other all the time. :o)

I hope your mom and sis weigh in! I'd love to know if it really happened!

Haha, that is too hilarious. Isn't that something everyone has always wanted to do though? (as long as you don't have to clean it up ;)

Great images and story! How funny! I hope it wasn't just a dream (though that would be equally as hilarious). I hope they respond! Ha!

All I can say is I love the dressers! I should remember or not remember the "dresser incident" but somehow I don't. I hope this is a family "urban legend." (But then, I never remembered telling your great-grandmother to shut up when we were driving through a tunnel. That must have been almost 30 years ago! But if I did, I'm sure I was kidding!) Katie, did I break the Garfield bank? I'll owe you one! Love, Mom!

Mom has a way of conveniently "forgetting" things.....like throwing a green pepper! :)

I think that the dresser incident DID happen, but I am not 100% sure of the bank. I vaguely remember a Garfield bank, but I thought it belonged to YOU! However, whether or not Mom actually did that to me, I have done it to Hayley! :) And I am tempted to do the same to my own dresser right now, because it is a MESS!

OMG- I loved reading your mom and sister's comments. So funny, how selective remembering can work, huh??

It actually works to our advantage, as parents though. I know I've had my moments, and this (your sister's comment) gives me a little hope that my kids will somehow "forget!"
