Take the quiz -----> Send a book!

Please join me in helping k2kUSA, a project brought to you by Save the Children USA Inc.,  reach their goal of sending 90,000 books to children in need!
k2kUSA is an advocacy campaign that empowers kids to connect with and advocate for each other. The goal is to ensure a fair chance in life for every kid in America. Central to fairness for all kids is ending the childhood poverty crisis, which affects one in six kids in the United States.
In the 5 seconds it takes to answer just three questions, you will be helping to give the gift of reading to deserving children.  By taking the quiz, you will be sending one book.  Easy peasy!

Quiz: Which Thanksgiving Side Dish Are You?

Perhaps one of these?

The folks over at Martha Stewart have put together this silly quiz (that may or may not be really old, but it is new to me) so you can find out:

My result:
You are undoubtedly:
Roasted Root Vegetables
It may be a season of indulgence, but you keep things in check. Health is important to you, and you strive to make sure you can have your cake, but not eat too much of it. Find inspiring ideas for your Thanksgiving feast in Everything Thanksgiving.

I would have thought of myself more as stuffing, honestly.  Maybe because that is my favorite?  I don't know.  I do know that I cannot wait to eat our Thanksgiving dinners!  We will be having dinner with friends on Thanksgiving day and then plan to make our own feast on Friday to have tons of leftovers.  :)

Time to get frustrated...

I have been really wordy lately, so today's post is a quick one.  My mom forwarded me this email and it made me so mad!! It is a fun way to take a little break, though, if you haven't already seen it. :D

I won't lie, I tried to do this about 40 times!..I even tried holding my leg and trying to force it to go clockwise.  It did for a second, but then went the other way!  ahaha  Grr!!!

9.02.10!!

Happy 9.02.10!...90210!  In honor of this once in a lifetime date, I baked cupcakes!  Oh yes I did!!  Don't make fun, you know you want one!  I never need an excuse to bake cupcakes, but today is special since I was/still am obsessed with Beverly Hills 90210, so cupcakes it is!  I even love the new 90210 and cannot wait for it to start back up!

You have probably taken one of these before, but for fun, here is a silly quiz to find out which character you are most like:

And now for my result:

You're Dylan McKay

You scored 47 90210 Personality Points!

Mysterious, a loner to your core, your best friend is yourself. You have no problems with "alone" time and actually you prefer it. You've got some trust issues but the people you do let in get the privilege of knowing a person who lives life by their own rules and who never takes a thing for granted. Although a bit intense, you've got a good heart and you're incredibly perceptive.

I'm sorry...what??   I was dreaming about him, not being him!!  ahaha  Oh well.  I sure hope I am not the only one who had dreams about Dylan McKay and wanted a greasy burger and a slice of pie from The Peach Pit.  I'll leave you with the best Brenda and Dylan montage ever!  :)  Enjoy!

What is your creative style?

I swiped this quiz from one of my favorite blogs, How About Orange!  It was taken from Psychologies magazine and gives you questions to help determine your creative style.  Mine was right on:

You communicate through creativity

You think of art as a means of reaching out to others but, at the same time, you use it as a shield to some extent. It’s a way of participating in society, in a community. It’s the way you communicate with others and the way they can communicate with you. Seen in this light, creativity provides the basic materials to build a bridge between you and other people, so you can’t think of it as something that lies outside your relationship with others. You like the attention and good opinion of others. When you show people what you’ve made — a birthday cake, or a piece of music you’ve written — it’s your baby, so you are very sensitive about any criticism. You need to be able to distance yourself from the result, and allow others to enjoy it and feel part of it, without it reflecting on you alone. Your creativity allows you (or would allow you) to feel part of the world. You’ve got an inner exhibitionist and you think that this strengthens your relationships. What you really want is for others to see the good in you. You prefer to get on the stage than stay in the wings analysing your inner life (although you do that, too). So let the show begin, but make sure your life doesn’t depend on the applause. •
So, so true!  I started this blog back in 2007 to be a creative outlet for me.  I mentioned this in my profile, but I feel that when you surround yourself with things that make you happy, then you can lead a life of pleasure.  My goal with this blog was to share things (I find pleasing) with the world, in the hopes that even one person's day could be brightened or one person's inner creative self could emerge.  My goal was also to share my ability to admire things for their beauty, without having to buy them...just being able to accept that something is beautiful or inspiring and then move on.  I hope I have done these things...at least once...maybe.  :)

Take the quiz and see what it says about you!  Also be sure to check out How About Orange, if you do not already regularly do so!

Have a great weekend!

Next, I will tackle more of a neutral color palette.
In the meantime, take this color personality quiz from Better Homes and Gardens and see if you agree with its results.

My results:
Your color personality is: Green
It sounds like the hue you most relate to is green -- the color most evocative of nature. Adjectives such as kind, gentle, and contemplative likely describe you. You enjoy being involved with your neighbors and coworkers, but you also require plenty of time to yourself to recharge. You are social yet introverted, and modern but not trendy. Surround yourself with your signature color to create a restful, soothing environment. From sage to hunter, green can work well in virtually every room of your house. Use it generously to create a haven you'll love coming home to.

Does your color make sense for you?? Have a great weekend!!
